{"id":16296,"date":"2025-10-21T16:29:31","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T15:29:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/womenaspirenetwork.org\/?p=16296"},"modified":"2025-10-21T16:29:32","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T15:29:32","slug":"she-leads-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/womenaspirenetwork.org\/index.php\/2025\/10\/21\/she-leads-project\/","title":{"rendered":"She Leads Project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With funding from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the She Leads Project is a five-year (2021-2025) strategic initiative of Plan International Netherlands, Defence for Children \u2013 ECPAT the Netherlands (DCI-ECPAT), African Women\u2019s Development and Communication Network (FEMNET), and Terre des Hommes the Netherlands (TdH). The project is implemented in Ghana, together with eight (8) other African countries; Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Liberia and Sierra Leone<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main objective of the project is to increase sustained influence of girls and young women (GYW) on decision-making and the transformation of gender norms in formal and informal institutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consortium envisages achieving this objective by working through three interrelated domains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Social-Cultural Domain: Support by increased acceptance of positive social gender norms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civil Society Domain:\u00a0 Enhancement of collective action of girls and young women in a gender-responsive civil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Institutional Domain: Enabling meaningful participation of girls and young women in decision-making by political institutions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Women Aspire Network is a sub grantee from FEMNET it is implementing the project in 2 districts in the Central region.
