Fair representation of women in leadership is key to national development. We are aware that the entire African continent lacks a fair representation of women in leadership positions. To address that, Women Aspire Network has among it objectives and focus area to promote gender equality which includes promoting female leadership and encouraging Girls and young women’s (GYW) leadership. The ‘sheleads project” is a project which primarily promotes and encourages GYWs leadership. We build the capacity of GYWs to be confident and believe in themselves to aspire for leadership positions in schools and in their communities. We create the platform for their regulate engagements with their local governance actors to enable them contribute meaningfully in local development issues and decision making.
We collaborate with the necessary stakeholders to amplify our voice for GYWs inclusion in decision making and leadership.
