SRHR is a necessary component for any leadership intervention. SRHR education is needed for young people to understand their bodies, understand the adolescent stage and to build the self-confidence to understand their values and what they stand for. It is needed for them to understand what sex is, the dangers of having skewed knowledge on unprotective sex, dangers of having early sex, contraceptives, abstinence, safe and unsafe abortion and so on. It is important for young people to know this important information, in other not to fall victims to peer influence and shallow advice.
Our projects over the years educate Girls and young people on this topic, the dangers of early sex and unprotected sex and all the available choices there is to know. We take them through building mental strength to focus on academic work and their future aspirations. This is the over objectives of the ‘mybody myvoice mychoices are my own’ project.
